This policy covers the Chapel website, History Atlas and early-access list. The Christian History Atlas does not require an account.
The early-access list is currently paused. This site is not collecting new email addresses.
What we collect
If you join the waitlist, we store your email address, the time you joined, the signup source, and the consent-text version. We do not store your IP address with your waitlist record. A salted one-way network identifier is used separately to limit automated abuse; it expires after the rate-limit window, and expired rows are removed during subsequent requests.
Why we use it
We use your email only for Chapel early access and product-launch news. We do not sell the list or use it for third-party advertising.
Storage and retention
Waitlist records are stored in Cloudflare D1. Your active record is removed when you unsubscribe. Otherwise, it is retained only while the waitlist is operating and is deleted when it is no longer needed.
Your choice
Waitlist management is currently unavailable. Launch emails and new subscriptions will remain paused until a verified preference-management flow is available.
The History Atlas
The Atlas loads its map data from Chapel’s hosting infrastructure. Map labels also request font files from demotiles.maplibre.org; that provider receives ordinary connection information, such as your IP address and request headers. Chapel does not add advertising or behavioral tracking to the Atlas.
